Japan Coho Salmon Prices Drop 30%

Japan’s farmed coho salmon season opened in Miyagi with first-sale prices down about 30% year-on-year. The decline reflects weak demand and large unsold inventory, putting pressure on the market. Producers are hoping for a recovery later in the season, but near-term conditions remain uncertain.
